What can I do to get students to bring in their own school supplies to avoid using my own money to purchase materials for them?

Some families are just not able to afford school supplies instead of figuring out how to get them to bring in their own supplies try these: -seek out organizations in the community that usually donate school supplies to families that sign up at the end of the year prior to the next school year. -ask the School Community Council to set aside funds for supplies -ask the PCNC to fundraise for supplies -send home a flyer for donations to parents in your class, some parents are more than happy to help out
